BioSteven Hillen · xobehtedistuO
xobehtedistuO is the music of Steven Hillen, a songwriter from Ocala, Florida. He writes every song himself, from the lyrics to the production direction, and makes his records in Suno, an AI music platform. His catalog moves from country rap and Midwest emo to funk, R&B, gospel rock and contemporary country. On several of his newest releases the lead vocal is his own voice, trained in Suno’s voice feature. He releases independently on xobehtedistuO Label through DistroKid. His single On Lungs Alone came out on August 23, 2026, and its music video has earned three festival honors.
Steven Hillen makes music as xobehtedistuO from Ocala, Florida. Read the name backwards and you get “outside the box,” which is both the mission and the method. In his own words, he dares people to dream, to question and to grow, even if it hurts.
Music has been part of his life for as long as he can remember. He sang in show choir and church choir, performed Guys and Dolls at All-State competitions and lettered in music in high school. He has worked with AI for about three years and has created in Suno’s studio for just under a year.
Steven is a writer first. Every lyric is his, and so is the direction behind each arrangement. Most songs start from a poem, a heavy thought or an emotion. He types section-by-section production cues into Suno’s lyric and style fields: where the 808s drop away, where a pedal steel slides in, when the vocal should strain at the top of its range. Suno, an AI music platform, renders the recording from those instructions. He releases the finished songs on his own xobehtedistuO Label through DistroKid, with an ISRC on every release.
That way of working has carried him across genres. Silky Moves, a funk and R&B groove, is his most-played song on Suno, with about 97,000 plays. Yester Days, a country rap song about red dirt, rusted trucks and family roots, is second, with about 61,000.
In August 2026 he began releasing songs sung in his own voice. He trained the voice in Suno Studio by singing one of his favorite songs, the one he could sing longest and loudest, for the full recording time. That voice carries On Lungs Alone, a Midwest emo ballad released on August 23, 2026, as well as the gospel rock of Hold My Hand and the country storytelling of Coins In The Dryer.
The On Lungs Alone music video has drawn about 12,000 views on YouTube and three festival honors, among them an Award of Merit for Music Video from the Best Shorts Competition. His instrumental horror music video Gravewake is an Official Selection of the Secrets of the Dead Short Horror Film Festival NYC 2026. Steven is registered with ASCAP as a writer and artist.
